We make East Nashville pizza. In fact, we’ve been doing it for the last five years! But that’s just part of the story. We began as a brewery and still craft our own beer. We’re also die-hard devotees of the local produce and dairy scene, and we source most of our ingredients from our farmer friends in the region. We put a premium on service here at Smith & Lentz, and we love that just about every day, when the doors to our East Nashville restaurant open, we see many familiar faces coming through to dine in or take out.
We know it’s the little things that make a big difference when you’ve planned a night out, and we care about stuff like that. For instance, we know Dave likes his pizza with a double side of ranch, and always with a pint of the Pizza Palace Pilsner up front. Sara starts every meal with marinated olives and a glass of Riesling, and likes the adventure of choosing from our specials. Couples, groups, office friends, foodies who appreciate a high-end pizza experience, locals, East Nashville tourists—we get to be part of it all. That’s why we love it here, and it’s also why we think people keep coming back.
A Passion for Good Pizza and Good Times
We’re always striving to be the kind of restaurant that makes people happy. The vibe here is the kind of atmosphere we think people gravitate toward: warm, laid-back, and a lot of fun.
If you’re a first timer at our Nashville brewery and restaurant, you’ll catch the vibe quickly. We’re serious about creating the ultimate handcrafted 16” pizza with every order, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our Pepperoni Pizza, for example, is a party on a plate. We make it with crushed tomatoes, fresh-shredded mozzarella, and it’s absolutely covered in pepperoni rounds, finished with a drizzle of hot honey. Our Sausage + Kale Pizza, like all our pizzas, begins with our homemade sourdough crust. Then it goes its own way with garlic, oregano, tomato, mozzarella, Bear Creek Farm sausage, farm kale, Calabrian cream, pecorino, and a dash of lemon to take it over the top. You’ve gotta try it. Pair it with a crisp Kolsch, and you’re golden.
