Looking for Unique Wine and Spirits in East Nashville? Read This.
East Nashville has no shortage of places to grab a drink. But if you're after something a little different, stop by Smith & Lentz. We’re known for our pizza, but our menu also brings together wines from smaller producers doing big things, cocktails that balance the classics with newer favorites, and house-brewed beers that ferment and condition in the tanks right behind our bar.
It's hard to beat fresh-made pizza with a cold beer or a glass of wine on a summer day. And our patio is a great place to enjoy it all.
A Drink List Designed to Shine
Everyone has their favorite drink. You might lean toward a hoppy IPA while your partner might prefer an Old Fashioned. Maybe you're looking for a crisp white to go with your Red pizza, or you’re searching for wine and spirits you’ve never tried before. If you’re looking for something beyond the ordinary, we think you’ll find that here.
Our wine list features Rieslings, Chenin Blanc, Gamay, and more, with glasses and bottles very affordably priced. So if you’re exploring wine and spirits in East Nashville, we feature plenty of unique labels offering something new and unexpected.
The Chenin Blanc from Saumur by Theo Blet treats you to fresh orchard fruit qualities that are perfect for an afternoon or evening on the patio, while our Beaujolais Gamays have become the go-to pizza wines here. During the season, we feature German rosés for their brightness and because their low price dramatically understates their high quality. Across the board, we want all of our wines to have great depth of flavor without being heavy!
Not Your Everyday Cocktail Menu
Our cocktail list follows the same approach as everything else at Smith & Lentz, where we honor tradition (and then add a few extra details).
Our Negroni combines Ford's Gin, Campari, and Antica Formula Vermouth for a balanced citrus finish. The Old Fashioned features Belle Meade Bourbon, a longtime Tennessee favorite.
We also put our own spin on a couple of modern classics. The Spritz blends Aperol, Cocchi Americano, Cava, and grapefruit, while our version of the Spaghett pairs house-brewed German Pils with El Bandarra Aperitif and lime. Our curated wine and spirits offer plenty of room to explore, and we invite you to take a tour.
At Smith & Lentz Brewing, beer is where it all began.
Our tap list ranges from a crisp and fresh German Pils to the smooth Kölsch and the Mosaic IPA, known for its floral, resinous character. We also keep two Hazy IPAs on draft: Work Dreams, with its tropical and watermelon notes, and Schlepping Singles, with a softer profile featuring tangerine and peach.
All are brewed in-house, and our rotating specials mean there's something new to try every week. If you’re skipping the alcohol, we also offer a selection of non-alcoholic options, including Walker Brothers Kombucha, and several NA beers that don’t compromise on taste.
Pizza That Brings It Full Circle
Pairing good drinks with good food means staying true to our local roots.
Every pizza at Smith & Lentz is naturally leavened from our own sourdough starter. They’re all 16", house-made, and showcase locally sourced ingredients from the surrounding farms and flour mills. Our appetizer plates are designed for sharing and pair just as easily with a glass of wine as they do with a pint. If you're not sure what to order, we're always happy to make a recommendation. Tell us what you like and what you're in the mood for, and we'll help you find just the right match.
